BYERA is governed in accordance with the Bayelsa Electricity Law, 2025. The Agency is led by a Board and a Director-General, with the Board providing oversight and strategic direction while the Director-General supports day-to-day leadership and administration.

This includes oversight of the Agency’s regulatory direction, institutional development, and major policy decisions taken under the Bayelsa Electricity Law, 2025.
